It’s April 2017 is being, even more, weird than the past 2016 year. I don’t know what to say… April did go really fast for me, did the same happen with you? I thought that I would enjoy deeply every day of this year, and, on the contrary, what I really feel is that everything is slipping through my fingers, speeding up in a way that I can’t even describe what have happen this year, it seems life is just happening in a numb manner … but maybe the antidote for all these emotions flowing through my skin is to do something…
So, in these two days off from work, I decided to pick up all my clothes that were unstitched in some particular spot and had fixed them. At the end, the constant anxiety about life, my bloody worries, all the emotions that I constantly feel, and that can only be translated into more worrying, were gone. I felt that my anxiety was placed with the satisfying feeling of accomplishment.
These small acts of dedication and commitment to something are a good way to find peace, meditate while we are passing the threads trough the clothes fabrics and, a way to respect the environment, because while we fix a piece of cloth — we know that we are reducing the clothing waste, we become aware what we have inside of our wardrobe and we are being productive. Summerly, I hope this post inspires you to do the same and find quietness in your life which is the most imperative.
The ancient shop Caza Vellas Loreto is illuminating Lisbon since 1789 and is one of the most charming shops located near Bairro Alto.
I felt that I was stepping back in time when I first went into this place. Today is Sunday and I am already using my first Loreto Candle.
I love so much butterflies and seeing my work being caressed by a talented artist is so touching, rewarding and satisfying. Which fanzine that I create/made is one of a kind and although they look very primitive they come from a special place – the heart! Thank you so much Puella, this photo and gesture comforted my heart so deeply and it really brighten up my day!

I spent my Sunday drinking tons of warming tea, sighing for Autumn and preparing orders. My butterfly bundle already found a new home! and I am so relieved, because I know it will be treasured.
Alone in my sanctuary, I’ve felt contentment while I was doing my first floral tiny wreath – a present from the heart to dear Vibeke.
I’m currently watching the period costume drama War and Peace, the BBC adaptation from 2015. I love the plans and the photography, the dazzling scenarios, and sometimes I wish I could steal all the dresses and furnitures… I could take such a pretty photos with them… and decor my house too.
14th of August 2016
This week, I’ve finally finished to decor my working station, I don’t even like to call it – a working space, because, for me, this place is more a hideaway, a shelter, a place of recovery than a place to work. Once in a while, I look steadily at it and I feel proud of all of this assemblage. All the flowers and the old things that I have been collecting, finding in the streets mean so much for me… Lately, I doubt so much of myself but the simple act of looking at this place makes me realize that I am capable of something, but for these results I need time… and in nowadays, we seem to have forgotten what truly means: “slow down”. Day after day, I despise more and more crowded places, cities and chaos, I would rather live in a small cute village than in a city, I long for this day so badly, but for now I’ve this improvised shelter.
I think this day deserves too a poem from Emily Brontë:
Moonlight summer moonlight
‘Tis moonlight, summer moonlight,
All soft and still and fair;
The solemn hour of midnight
Breathes sweet thoughts everywhere,
But most where trees are sending
Their breezy boughs on high,
Or stooping low are lending
A shelter from the sky.
And there in those wild bowers
A lovely form is laid;
Green grass and dew-steeped flowers
Wave gently round her head.
Warming my soul with tea, listening Mallu Magalhães and so pleased with this tiny lamps behind me, found them on Primark. I think I will visit Primark more times now. =)
The Bonds Behind the Flowers with Flâneur/ O Fascínio das Flores com a Flâneur
Adorei este dia, obrigada a todos por terem partilhado o vosso precioso Sábado comigo e a Flâneur.
Moments spent in Flaneur exploring the meaning of the flowers with lovely ones. A very heart warming day. Thank you all.
I watched today a movie called “A Little Chaos” and it was so inspiring, I kept some speeches from the movie in my personal journal.
Here is one that make me smile and think:
André Le Notre: This abundance of chaos… is this your Eden?
Sabine De Barra: My search for it.
If you are looking for a movie to watch, give this one a chance.
